Had my team green baby and super fast delivery!

We welcomed our newest addition Chat Icon I think I was beyond shocked, this whole pregnancy I thought I was carrying a girl hah!
We are beyond in love with our little guy and amazingly looks so much like his older brother when he was born!

My birth story was pretty wild. I was 3 days overdue (which bewildered me b/c I went early w/my first) and NO signs of labor. Anyway, I had my apt w/SB midwives that morning. I went in and found out I was 3cm dialated and 80% effaced, good news I guess but still had no idea when things would progress to "labor." Anyway they stripped my membranes too at that apt, to be honest didn't hurt me at all and I didn't feel any cramping or bleeding she warned me about afterwards so the whole day I was like Chat Icon if that really did anything. Anyway, after dinner I was cleaning up and started feeling mild cramps (just before 9pm) soon after 9pm I started to recognize that these are contractions however they were very light BUT close together. I called up my parents to come over so they could stay the night (to watch older DS). Soon after they came (prob about 9:30) my contractions were pretty strong and I called the midwife they said to time them for an hour and call back, well I never got to that point they got so strong that I told DH we have to leave rt now (around 10:30) as we were leaving the house I got so nausous and threw my whole dinner (sorry tmi) at least I was outside (same thing happened w/me w/DS#1 rt before I gave birth but I was in the hospital that time!) So the whole car ride to SB hospital (which is a good half hr from me) I had the strongest most painful contractions ever, I felt like ripping the upholstry out of the car. They were so close together (like 3mins) I had so many of them in the car it was torture. We got there and just left the car in front of the hospital I literally walked in on a mission to have this baby, my midwife met me downstairs and could already tell it was ready to go, I bypassed everything signing in/waivers/ no IV/meds anything as soon as she got me on the bed she saw the head and said I could start to push. Both me and DH were so amazed/shocked I pushed 3x, first one broke my water than the head came out. It was a crazy whirlwind DS was born at 11:28. I was so so amazed but really we got there just in time, the whole way there I was seriously contemplating crouching in the passenger seat and pushing this baby out in the car. So, just a reminder esp for moms on #2, things progress a LOT faster the second time around. Also, if you give birth before midnight, that counts as your first night in the hospital, (most insurances onlly give you 2 nights for V-del) so I was basically out of the hospital on Sat (had DS Thurs night rt before midnight) which really sucked I thought I'd have until Sunday in the hospital.
