Had my hair japanese staightened.W/ PICS ADDED
Well, thanks to Beth1210's recommendation I saved a lot off money. I got there on Saturday around 1pm. I made o appt. It took me forever to get a parking spot so take the subway or have someone drop you off. I should have known better because I grew up going to Flushing occasionally to buy coconut bread from Chinese bakeries
I don't have a pic of my curly hair because I never ever wear it that curly. MY hair is curly like Keri Russel's(Felicity hair) but frizzy. I always blow dry it straight or blow dry it straight then curl the ends like a la jessica simpson.
I was there at the salon to 7:30. I wore my hair stick straight so they wouldn't really see how think and how much hair I have. Because of my length (lower back) they wanted to charge me 260 but I talked my way to getting it done for $220. Once they started doing my hair they kept commenting on how they've never seen so much hair before.
Anyway if you want I'll post an after pic but it looks the same as a before pic of me. The difference is the texture. IT feels so smooth and healthy....
They were telling me that they have to take the same courses as anyone else to do the straightening. A west village salon came there and asked them were to take clases and watched them do it and now charge at their salon starting price $700.00. I had it done 3 years ago in garden city for 800 but didnt continue b/c of the huge expense. Now I'll def go back every 6-8 months to get it done.
I recommends Top Point salon in Flushing

too flat for my taste but thats how it is the first 72 hours. I tried to take closups to sow how healthy and shiny it looks.Remember this is my very curly hair after it air dried after the straightening.
