OK...listen to this...my DH just called.

He spoke to a Supervisor that said that you need to have an Alumni card or the ACTUAL Alumni (person) with you upon check -in. My DH said that is ridiculous because nowhere on our original confirmation did it say that. They said they would "honor" the code but not give us the $99 rate. They said it would be $124 a night. They also said they are going to send out another confirmation stating this.

All I know is that my stomach is in knots. My kids have been looking forward to this for weeks. I pray to God it all works out.

Thank you JennChris and Elizabeth...you helped to set me mind more at ease.

For the newbie....post once. Your redundancy is getting annoying.

I just wanted to add that we went with a group of 2 other families.. and all 3 of our groups checked in separately and had no problems.

I was just there over the April break and had absolutely no problems. They didn't ask for anything related to the code. I did however call beforehand to verify that I wouldn't have a problem since I wasn't an alumni.

First of all the spammer on the board is obviously someone that is bitter over other's getting a good deal. A google search more than likely brings up this thread. Secondly, I have yet to see a single person be charged rack rate. Their code said for Alumni AND FRIENDS so they can't backpeddle and say it was for Alumni only. Obviously a friend is not going to have ID saying they are a friend of an alumni, that just isn't even feasible since they don't issue such a thing. Lastly, I have a printout of the page that says the word FRIENDS and will give it them at checkin if I'm challenged (which I highly doubt I will be). If anyone else wants a copy of the printout, I'll be more than happy to scan it and email it.

We're going this weekend and I can't wait!! Chat Icon

yes i saw them bringing a pack n play to a room.. we brought ours though

I hate to burst any bubbles or throw cold water on your fun, but the GWL is cracking down on the EDGE rate ($99 weekdays $139 week ends). YOU MUST PRESENT I.D. AT CK IN. If you did not graduate from Edgewood college your rate will be increased to the current days rate (could be as much as $400+ depending on what the rate is that day). It used to be for Alumni and friends and family...it has been changed to JUST alumni. I couldn't go, but a friend of mine got stuck for $300 at arrival.
Buyer should indeed beware. If it sounds too good to be true...it probably is!
