But he is ok with thousands of people protesting. Give me a break.

they are not the same. stop being ignorant and conflating the two. protesting police brutality is way more important than to go margaritas and is also a constitutional right.

Is this sarcasm as I can’t tell?
You don’t get the point?

Governor issues compliance warning for Hamptons and Manhattan

All credibility gone with protests happening for 3 weeks. Every single bit.

During a pandemic, lots of rights go out the window for the health & safety of everyone. I am in support of protesting, and am fine with them doing so, even in the middle of a pandemic. But you can't tell everyone else they have rules to follow but if you are protesting, rules don't apply to you. I can't speak for everyone, but I believe it is more about the livelihoods of those who own these businesses, then the people who were partying in the streets. After three months, people are desperate. They need to pay their bills and hope their business survives.

I am literally not having this conversation again. My point was in reference to her conflation. Stop conflating that protesting is OK and XYZ is not. Black people are being shot and killed every day and still your white self had to come on here and be like "during a pandemic..."

I am not protesting for cocktails or outdoor dining. That is not my concern.

The virus doesn't respond differently to people out protesting for BLM or because they want to hang out in a group with their friends. Risk level is identifical.

All the protestors near me wore masks. People eating and drinking are not wearing masks. Covid19 can have long term negative effects on your lungs. I wear a mask whenever I can not socially distance myself appropriately. We just started going to the playground and my son knows if there is another kid there, the mask needs to go on. He actually requests it.

He has acknowledged that there is a risk to protesting & has reminded people to wear masks get tested. He's not stopping it, but it's not like he is saying you won't sick if you do it. He even told the protesters to remember they could still bring this home to their older relatives.
