Godparents-Did you purchase a gift for them?
I am a godmother (2x to my niece and nephew), my sis bought me something small.
My SIL/BIL didnt give me anything.
Just wondering if I should.

My mom is godmother and my brother is godfather to both kids (DH is Jewish so we didn't use anyone from his side).
I got my brother a 3 part frame and have each kid's pic on the ends and a poem about godfathers in the middle.
I got my mom this charm with their initials and the dates engraved on the back.

I didn't get anything for them. I'm thinking about getting a pic from her baptism and getting cute frames with something about god parents if I could find them.

I bought gifts for all the godparents of my kids. But, when I was a godparent for my nephew recently, I did not receive anything.

its a personal choice....we didnt give gifts, DH is godfather to our niece and he didnt get anything either....

Godmother yes...just a framed pic of her and the baby from the day.
Godfather no...I did not want to make him uncomfortable, I followed his lead when he did not get the baby a gift.

NICE!!!!
DH just got asked to be to GF of a friend of ours who moved to California last year. I'm secretly hoping he'll offer to help pay for our airfare since we're going to have to take time off from work, get someone to watch DS while we're gone, and pay for air and hotel out there.
