Getting ears pierced...UPDATE
I am getting Mollie's ears pierced at the ped's office tomorrow...any tips for me? I am going to feel terrible knowing that it hurt her to get it done...but I figure she will get over it quickly and not remember. Also...this way she will get used to them.
Also...my mom bought her a pair of earrings for Hannukah...can I use them for the piercing, or do I have to use the ones they provide?
UPDATE: it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. She cried for a minute or two, but then seemed ok.
She was also 3 months old today. She gained a liile over 2lbs since last month and today weighed in at 9lbs. 5ozs.

I would use the ones they provide for the ear piercing. Then after like 6 or 8 months you can change them.
When Julia got her ears pierced (at 3 months) the girl did one at a time, so I held her a liitle bit after she did the first one, then did the same after the second, Julia only cried for a few seconds it wasn't bed at all, I think I was more upset then she was--lol

Use the ones they provide and change them after the rec period of time. Have alcohol and cotton swabs available and clean and rotate them daily. The pain compared to vaccinations is low. Good Luck, they are sooo pretty!!

 Yes, we did, but see what happens when you wait for them to be old enough to decide themselves

She looks absolutely adorable! Glad to hear she didnt cry...Ive been crying every new milestone that has happened in just the week shes here...LOL

Yes...my ped's office does it. I felt more comfortable there, then taking her to the mall and letting some teenager who just learned do it.
