Margery's grandmother vs cersei was awesome
That Lyanna Mormont was a BAMF -- certified boss!  Loved how she was letting them know she wasn't some little girl.
The Queen of Thornes is my hero - I loved how she gave it to Cersei. All of this nonsense with the High Sparrow IS her fault.
I think we are gearing up for The Hound vs The Mountain in the trial by combat for Cersei's trial.
That wound the Waif gave Arya looked pretty bad - I mean the twisting of the knife....

Cersei had the previous high septon imprisoned and used her influence to get the High Sparrow elected as the new septon. She assumed they would just work together as she was trying to just get rid of Margaery when she realized that Tommen was going to start taking the side of his new wife.
In the end it backfired when the High Sparrow learned of Cersei's "sins" and he threw her in jail as well.

It really got to be bad when Cersei convinced Tommen to arm the faith. They used to have an army called the Faith Militant back in the day, but they stopped it for whatever reason. Cersei's convinced Tommen to bring it back for her own nefarious reasons... Which backfired on her big time.
As for last nights episode- aside from the return of the hound I thought it was pretty meh again. Though I did LOVE Lady Mormont. She was fantastic! I don't know who is going to save Arya, but I'm sure she's gonna be fine. I wonder if she's going back to the house of black and white...
Next weeks episode looks exciting though!

I think somehow - she is going to reunite with the Hound, and he might save Arya.
And yes, arming the faith was the dumbest thing she could have done and she just assumed she could control the High Sparrow like she has done so many others. Talk about getting egg on your face!

I hope he is still as fond of Arya as he was. I mean she did leave him to suffer and die... And he said what kept him going was hate. That made me nervous. But I can't see how he can save her from where he is. It looked like she was leaping off a roof in next weeks episode so I can't imagine her recovery is going to take all that long. Maybe another red priest/priestess will do the job for her. I think the hound is going to get the chance to face his brother in cersei's trial. Here's hoping he doesn't suffer the same fate as Oberyn!

I think Arya set herself up for that on purpose. She made it very known that she had money and she was looking to leave. She also was walking with her hands behind her back and then stopped on that bridge with her back to everything. It's like she set it all up with a bigger plan in mind. She won't die... I'm not even sure she's actually hurt.
Also, Jaqen H’ghar said to the Waif "what a shame" in regard to Arya... but I think he was saying in regard to the Waif. They are not supposed to kill for hate, which is what the Waif was planning to do to Arya.

Agree with you 100%! I remember seeing Arya standing on the bridge looking to the ocean and thinking there is no way nobody's going to attack her, I was literally counting the seconds for something to happen!
Interesting comment regarding Jaqen and Waif, never thought about it that way!

Id love for them to reunite but isn't the hound one of the people on aryas kill list?
He was -- and I think that's why she just left him to die. But at that point I think she wasn't sure how she felt about it, so instead of killing him directly, she just walked away. She definitely had mixed feelings.

Glad Arya is heading back to Westeros. I'm bored of her here. I want her to cross some more names off her list.
I'm so surprised by the turn of events for Cersei. I thought for sure the Clegane brothers were going to battle
It out in kings landing. But I kinda like the hound with the brotherhood, especially if they are heading north to fight the white walkers.
Sad to see the blackfish go and that riverrun was taken over by the lannisters. Though I read a theory somewhere about why they need to get Jaime back to kings landing... About Cersei's and her love of wildfire and threatening to burn cities to the ground.
Next week is the big bad ******* bowl! I can't wait to see it!!

Glad Dany is back in Meereen with her dragon. That should be interesting.
I guess Cersei is growing on me because in every episode I'm hoping she gets her revenge lol. I've always disliked her but I keep finding myself rooting for her lately. Can't wait to see how this all plays out now.

I'm confused by something. What the deal with Arya being "the girl who is no-one"? I mean, when Arya met the leader of the House of Black and White earlier in the book, he had a name (Jaqen h'ghar). Why is it so important now that she has no name? Does he now have no name?

I think that's just the name he went by in Westeros... Why he was there I have no idea. But when he changed his face he said Jaqn H'ghar was dead and "a man has many names". Maybe he was sent to westeros by the many faced God to recruit? Or kill some people? I'm not sure.

The Tully stuff is confusing me because I feel like it's stuff from a few seasons ago.
Arya is a badass and loved when Daenerys came back.
The second to last episode is usually pretty sick so I'm excited for this week!

I'm curious to know as well.
Two reasons he has to remain alive:
1) There are fan theories that Jon Snow is likely the prophesized Azor Ahai reborn - the "prince that was promised" to "rid the world of darkness." If that is true, it would fit with him leading an army against the White Walkers
2) Jon Snow needs to discover that he is actually Jon Targaryen - and one of the true heirs to the iron throne. This theory has been keeping fans of the books going for years and is another reason I just knew he couldn't die last night.
He could be both a Targaryen as well as the reborn Azor Ahai - not sure if they will go with both. But I definitely see a showdown between Khaleesi and Jon at some point before the show ends.
