From low to high in 24 hours
It's the nature of the job, right?
Yesterday, I had a kid just "decide" not to show up for the AP test... which is NOT optional in my school. That was an endless saga.
Then today, I went to our art show and had a mother approach me to tell me that her son loves me; I am one of the few things keeping him grounded this year and that I was meant to be a teacher.
What a job...

Oh you can't even imagine the drama of that kid not showing for the exam. It was a saga for the ages.
That NY Times article was good... it was weird that they specifically mentioned my department, though. I'm so glad that your student was so happy. I'm so happy for him.
