Low carb diet for me - sugar too high
I did the one hour last Saturday & the first number was 101 & it was 153 after drinking the glucose. So, too high, said my doctor. Since I had already had a one hour test at 18 weeks which the first number was high (100) and the second ok, she isn't bothering sending me for the 3 hour test! She wants me on a low carb diet & to go back to the lab in two weeks within 2 hours of eating a meal to be "finger pricked" to see what the numbers are. I guess this is better then the 3 hour test. It just sucks since this entire pregnancy all I want is carbs - protein has been a turn-off to me. Time to change that, I guess. Just wanted to share!! Thanks for listening!

It'll all be okay. There are some really great alternatives that are low carb.
