Friday drama-free thread

I'm leaving the drama early for the weekend. I've said my peace on this situation and now it's quitting time, 5:00pm in dramaland.

Anyone else want to pretend this board is happy go lucky and that the only subject that matters today is that it's the first day of spring?

Who's with me, who wants to chat about happy fun stuff or nothing in particular?

That's taken from my beach chair. You don't see it in the picture but I am holding a frozen pina colada. You said it's 5:00pm, right?

Even if it wasn't (which it is in dramafreeland), I'll raise a glass anyway. Let the Colada wash away the worries! Chat Icon

Oh, come one, you know you love snow. Look at that little bit of snow on your puppies nose. How can you not love snow like that? Besides, it's sunny as can be now, snows not staying. Chat Icon

Re: Friday drama-free thread

Ahh yes, Brinkley loves snow but his Mom doesn't. Chat Icon I enjoy that he enjoys it... Thaaaaaat's about it.

Not to mention, he's here with me at work so I have to walk him every few hours, so I'm hoping it doesn't stay cold enough to snow here!

Btw, listening to Bob Marley "One Love" right now. Goes with the palm trees and pina coladas.

Bring doggie to work day, or is that an everyday thing? I keep reminding DH that when we buy a house, the dog comes home the next day. He says sure, so does the cat Chat Icon

Just Fridays, although my boss said I could make it more frequent if I wanted to! My husband works from home now, so I don't need to like I used to. But everyone likes him here on Fridays so I continue to bring him in. Chat Icon

We said the same thing about the house, then the dog. It actually took us almost a year to do it, because we were setting up the house with furniture and whatnot. And it took me another few months to research breeds and find a reputable place to get him. And then another month or so to 'interview' dogs because we had specific needs. You'll get there soon enough, and it will be great. Chat Icon

I wish I could bring my dogs to work! I think Schultz would eat the mail man though.

We said the same thing about the house, I wanted to run out right after we moved in and get a dog, DH just kept saying let's wait a little. He wanted the dog but wanted to be settled first. Six months of me calling him every Friday afternoon and begging, telling him about all the cute dogs on Little Shelter's website. He gave in and we brought her home on July 4.

Yup! Can you believe it? Chat Icon For me, it's an excuse to hang out with them because they're friends of mine.

Ok maybe I'll buy a pair or two.

I have my own challenges with Brinkley here, that's why I wouldn't do it more often.

I'm glad you persevered! We waited till we had the landscaping done and a fence up, which was a challenge in itself.

Made your house feel more like a home when you got your dog, didn't it? Chat Icon

Absolutely! That was six years ago, we got another one 4 years ago. I'm working on number 3.

Re: Friday drama-free thread

Totally offtopic - but I know GreenFreak will appreciate this...

I hear my laptop HD starting to do the dreaded click - so yesterday at 5AM I go onto NewEgg and order a new HD with their typical free shipping. (Surgery and meds has my schedule all messed up - yes it's nuts I'm ordering HDs at 5AM)

I just got an email that it's out for shipping - in FARMINGDALE. It'll be here today. For free shipping, I'm going to have a new hard drive from purchase to 'in my hands' in 24 hours.

They are so great! Too bad the Acronis CD is at the office - I'll need to wait to image until next week - hopefully this HD will make it thru. Chat Icon
