Formula moms-Would you mind sharing your DC's weight gain from birth to one month?

My DD was 7 lbs at birth.
At her 1 week appt she was 7 lbs 5 oz.
Yesterday she had her 1 month appt and she was 9 lbs 5 0z! Chat Icon

I feel like that is a bit high- 2 lbs in 3 weeks!

The Dr said it was on the higher side of normal- she wasn't too concerned.
But I am wondering if that is too much and I'm over feeding her?

Can you post what your baby weighed at birth and how much they gained by their 1 month appt?

She is Formula fed...

OK so I don't feel so concerned now.
It seems pretty normal to gain that much in the first month ...

I always find something to worry about!!
Hence my screen name! Chat Icon

Re: Formula moms-Would you mind sharing your DC's weight gain from birth to one month?

I BF all day with 1-3 formula bottles at night for first 2 months, after that all Formula.

birth: 8lbs
~week 2: 9lbs
~week 3: 10lbs
~week 4: 11lbs
~month 1: 12 lbs
~month 2: 15 lbs
~month 3: 16lbs
~month 4: 17lbs

DS was also always over 95% in height, so our ped was always really happy about his growth.

BUT, I really don't think you can have a fat newborn, I wouldn't worry at all! I think when it comes to start solids then you should take a good look about what he's eating and if he's taking in too many carbs or what.
