For all the new mommies celebrating their 1st holiday as a family .....
are there anythings you are doing this year that you will start as a tradition???? or do you already have a tradition that you will pass on to your new family??
i am going to put a special ornament in our sons stocking and will continue to do so every year until he leaves home and then i will give them all to him in a box.
another one is we will take a walk with him in his new toy ( this year is a push along car ) next year maybe a bike
but as a family with our dog . i want him to remember that it is about spending time together not just toys / gifts

I love the ornament idea Gem, my Mom did the same with us. I plan to do something similar with DD but maybe with a twist. I have to keep thinking about this one........

I am loving the ornament idea as well.
I definitley want to get the book "Twas The Night Before Christmas" and read it to him EVERY Christmas Eve

I am loving the ornament idea as well.
I definitley want to get the book "Twas The Night Before Christmas" and read it to him EVERY Christmas Eve
i have that book and it had open up windows in all the pages my mummy bought it for us and we read it today .
we are soooooo in the christmas spirit

oh and my dad read Twaz the night before christmas to me and my sis every xmas eve so i want my dh to continue that with my DD

Every year my brothers & sister & I knew we'd be given a pair of pajamas from our parents. DH's family did this too. We still get them for Christmas even now. We plan to do the same for DD.
