Followup with Dr. after First Failed IVF
So we met with the Dr. yesterday to get more information about our first IVF cycle. Apparently the quality of our embryos was not stellar, which was something we figured out since even though the got 26 eggs, which were supposedly mature, only 13 fertilized.
We have 6 frozen embryos of various quality, but I think that since we have the coverage right now we are going to go for a fresh IVF cycle and adjust the dosage of meds so that I produce less eggs. We hope that this fresh cycle will result in better quality embryos, but of course there are no guarantees since it could have been the MF issues.
If we went to a FET the dr suggested putting back 3 even though I'm 30, given the quality of what is frozen.
It is just so depressing to go from hearing that they got 26 eggs, then 13 fertilized, and now knowing that the embryo quality is not great.
