FIRST IVF APPT WED
I am so nervous and excited. After reading all the pamphlets about the facility, my new physician and filing all the paperwork - we are finally going to have our appt. Thankfully we have great health insurance. But, what should I expect from the first consultation? I am so anxious. Can anyone share what their first meeting was like?

Good Luck !....I was continuing with my RE- had some failed IUI's before and my consult basically discussed what meds the RE thought I would respond best to, gave me an approximate time-line we would be looking at and for me a script for my BCP's to get me started...If you are new to the practice, he/she will probably go into a bit more detail in looking at your past cycles and make sure that your recent pap is there, and that all the other preliminary testing that they require has been done first...My meeting was about 1/2 hour or so !  !

The appt was about 2 hrs long. Be prepared to have yours and your partners/spouse medical history. Dr. also has a lot of blood work to do as well. Don't forget to bring your insurance card. Good Luck!
