do I need photo id of some sort?

They didn't ask us for anything (she sat on our lap though).

Southwest asked for a BC both ways. I brought a copy and it was fine.

I've been asked for a BC on both jetblue and southwest. Both times a copy was sufficient. When we flew internationally we needed her original passport.

Where are you going? If you are leaving the country your child will need a passport.

If its not an international flight a copy of the BC should be ok.

On Delta, they didn't ask for any documentation for DD.

We had a seat for DD (she was 15 months) so she didn't need anything. I think you will only need one if she is a lap child to prove she is under 2.

Unless it is out of the US then you will need a passport for your DC.

We have always bought her a seat and they never asked for anything for DD
