I was thinking the same.
He says, "adoption can be complicated"...
A lot of countries/areas will not allow singles to adopt, forget about it if you are gay. So many countries/areas/agencies will not allow a child to be placed with a gay adoptive parent
My cousin is single and when she adopted her son the ONLY country that placed children with singles was Guatemala. China, Korea, Russia, etc. wouldn't even consider her.
Oh, and even more for being their primary caretaker.
I'm guessing a close female friend agreed to IUI or IVF and she was his surrogate. There is a child in my DC's class who was born the same way and has two daddies.
Never thought I'd type this...
