Fetal sac, no pole..UPDATE
feeling really upset and nervous. I went to my first appointment today, we saw a fetal sac but nothing inside. The dr said it could be one of 2 things. 1. i'm not as far along as I thought 2. I am miscarrying. He took good and I go back next week.
Can anyone give me positive news after they experienced this. Feeling down.
Update:
I am having a miscarriage. I am heartbroken. I know I have 3 beautiful boys and I am blessed but I feel so sad. I am angry. Today is my birthday, I feel like I want to lay in my bed all day and cry. This year has sucked. I hope ypoou all have healthy pregnancies! I will be back. When it is my time.

 How far along do you think you are? A lot happens very quickly in the beginning. If you're only about 5w, then that's all you should see.

I am not sure. I think I conceived about Nov 17-20. My last period was October 21. I tested positive on a pee test (3 different ones) on December 4. So Maybe I am just way earlier than I thought. I guess all I can do is hope and pray. I have to wait an entire week for any kind answers. Sucks.

do you normally have long cycles?
I'm wondering if you didn't ovulate and didn't get your Nov period and then conceived at the end of november.

I personally know someone who was told to go in for a D&C early on because there was no heartbeat. Their child is very much alive and well, thankfully they didn't listen to their doctor.

When I went for my first appointment on 10/4, I was supposed to be 6 weeks along based off of my LMP. I asked for a sonogram and they couldn't find anything. All they said was that my lining was thick.
They had me come back 2 weeks later and there was a sac and fetal pole. I was measuring 6 weeks (when I was supposed to be 8 weeks). I'm a little over 15 weeks along now. Don't feel discouraged, you could have ovulated later than you expected

Fetal sac, no pole..
Thank you so much everyone. I really am hoping I am just earlier than i thought. My period has been very off the past few months. Some long cycles, some short. Hoping when I go back next week I see a little bean on the screen!

I could of wrote this exact post . I went this morning for my first appt as well . I am suppose to be 7 weeks and there was only a sac . My doc took blood and told me to come back next week. He told me he didn't believe it was a viable pregnancy . I have been crying all day .

I am so sorry. I hope you get positive news next week. My blood work came back and my levels are good but I had low progesterone. I was prescribed progesterone suppositories. I am hoping this works. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Fetal sac, no pole..
I had an IUI done on 11/15 and got a BFP on 11/28. They did my bloodwork and everything looked good. I went in at 6 weeks and they told me that they were sorry but they didn't see a fetal pole only a sac and to come back in 5 days but to prepare for a miscarriage. I went back this past Tuesday thinking the worst and to our surprise there was a little bean and a strong heartbeat. Please don't get discouraged just yet. This early on they grow fast and my RE said it just needed those extra days to catch up. Hope for the best for you!

I miscarried a couple years ago on my birthday as well (also right around Christmas). It was truly awful but with each day we got through it and there were definitely better days ahead. Hang in there, we are here for you!!
