Family friendly warm weather vacation spot for Feb (but NOT Disney)
Hi,
We're looking to plan a winter excursion to a warm weather destination for early February - just to have some sun to look forward to this winter.
DS will be nearly 4 - and is pretty east going. Could be south Florida - or an island (preferably one that doesn't require a passport).
We did Disney this past year - plus I'd like somewhere more reliably warm at that time of year.
Suggestions?

I would say Miami or the Keys for Fl. I think all the islands require a passport including Puerto Rico. If not then maybe Puerto Rico in San Juan or all inclusive Paradisus, PR is really nice.

I recommend Aruba. You do need passports but worth getting. Any islands I believe you'll need a passport. Aruba weather is perfect, beautiful island, everything in walking distance, great food and beach is calm. Plus it's very family friendly.

You don't need a passport for Puerto Rico and I am pretty sure you don't need one for any of US Virgin Islands.

You absolutely do not need a passport for the US Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico.
PR the El Conquistador looks nice and has a private island. In St. Thomas (USVI), the Marriott Frenchman's Reef looks great.

Oh ok, wasn't sure because I remember several years ago they added restriction with passports for the Caribbean such as Mexico, DR and I thought PR and other US commonwealths were included. I stand corrected
We only travel with passports so I wouldn't know. But like I said you can do PR San Juan or the all inclusive would be nice as a quick getaway with the kids.

St. Thomas! Nice for kids and they have direct non-stop flights.
Hurry and book now, many flights are already pricing high and getting sold out quickly
