30 year old fake tree that looks so real, obviously bare.
I don't mind putting the lights on.

Pre-Lit. We have the one with the lights that can either be white or colored- I love the fact that I have that option

Sadly it's bare. We got it when we bought our house like 15 years ago and back then prelits weren't really big and the ones they had were crazy expensive! I want to get a prelit one sooo bad because it's such a pain putting the lights on but I LOVE our tree. It looks so real and it fits in the tight spot we have for it.
Plus I feel bad getting rid of a perfectly good tree so....

My mom put the lights on and left them on when she took down the tree. DIY pre lit tree.

Our tree comes apart though. Each branch comes out of the pole individually. So when we take it down, we basically take the whole damn thing apart. And you are left with a pole and about 50 individual branches.

And then to put it back together- OMG. You have to gather all the branches for each level (they have color coded stickers on them) and put it back in pieces.

HUGE PIA

We had one of those growing up, holy pain!
Nowadays the branches are already on the pole, the lights just turn on when you connect the 3 sections of the tree, bottom middle top, and then plug in! Super easy!

We have the same kind of tree. It takes us hours just to put the tree together and put the lights on. (Could probably be a bit quicker if we didn't have little kids running around getting in the way and "helping". But I don't really mind since it's only once a year.
