Aveda hydrating lotion and watching Tyra yesterday and seeing that she uses this as her daily face regime was nice since I think she has great skin.
I have dry skin but I know of people with oily skin who have used it and loved it too.

I use the same stuff. It seems to strike the perfect balance. I haven't had oily patches or dry patches since using it and I used to go from one extreme or another with combination/oily skin products. And I haven't had nearly as many breakouts.
There is a travel pack of the hydrating lotion, toner, exfoliant and cream cleanser that's about $25-30. I bought it in June to test it out and I still have half a bottle of lotion left after using it every day. (I'm not a big fan of the cleanser or toner but I will commit to full bottles of the exfoliant and lotion.)

DERMAdoctor Body Guard Exquisitely Light SPF 30 For Face & Body is GREAT for oily skin. tried the aveda and liked it better as a light body lotion, too heavy for my oily face.

Clinique dramatically different... the yellow stuff. I also have combo skin.
I've been using it for years and try a new product every now and then. nothing else works as good for me.

crisco?  not in my opinion.
like I said, I have combo skin and this stuff works really well for me. it's not greasy and absorbs really well! I have tried Aveeno and hate that it smells like suntan lotion. I also found that it does not absorb well. I've tried a few other brands as well.

used it years ago and was way too thick and greasy for me. reminded me of yellow pudding. maybe they have changed it since.
