extra wide feet....QUESTION
so we finally got the boys REAL walking shoes at Stride Rite, and Matthe is a size 5 and a half EXTRA wide.
Is there any other place beside Stride rite that sells extra wide shoes.....I walked out of there paying $80 for 2 pairs of shoes and they were on sale....thanks

Try shoebuy.com. I buy all my stride rite shoes there for my son. They do sell extra wide and with ebates (10% back) and coupon codes (usually 20% off) - you can get shoes/sneakers at a great price.

Not sure where else you can get them, but DS has wide feet and we have bought 2 pairs so far from Stride Rite. They do last a long time and are very durable shoes. He outgrew 1 pair that he wore everyday for almost a year and they held up great.

My DD wears the same size- 5 1/2 wide- it's a bummer b/c Stride Rite is super expensive- but they are worth it. I haven't found any shoes close to their quality.

I dk about now but my firstborn---had a triple E width and then my dd one year later--I remember spending around that much for 2 pairs...
My son still has a problem buying shoes sometimes--alot of payless has narrow shoes...

wait..Diane..someone posted about a shoe store that does really good bargains for multiples---maybe do a shout out or search it somehow...
it was like 1/2 off the second pair or something...anyone remember?

so my question is....we got a 5.5 extra wide and she said that they were a little snug in the width....should I return them for a 6?? or will that NOT make a difference??
