Extra folic acid??
Does anyone take a folic acid supplement in addition to their prenatal?? Just curious!

I do, but only because of something that happened with our first child.
I take 4 MG of it daily. 4 times what a normal person takes.

I don't... I actually can't take the prenatals (they make me too sick) so doctor said I can take flinstones and because they have 400 mcg of folic acid my doctor said that is sufficient and don't need to take any supplements.

I take an extra 3mg per day since I am carrying twins they wanted to make sure I was getting enough folic acid.

Yes. I am heterozygous for MTHFR so I take a baby aspirin and a Folic Acid Supplement in addition to my prenatals

i do in order to supplement my pre-natal since the pre-natals I take are over-the-counter and only have 800mcg and the dr. reccomeneded 1000mcg's.

I take a baby aspirin too, the high risk dr. said it was good to take to help prevent preterm labor.

I take a baby aspirin too, the high risk dr. said it was good to take to help prevent preterm labor. I also take an additional Vitamin C (since I wouldn't take any extra iron and the vit c is supposed to help your body absorb the iron better) and 3 tums x-tra strength for extra calcium.

I don't. I take the rainbow lite otc and they have 800mg. My doctor said that is fine.

I take a folic acid supplement because of a family history of spina bifida. I also take a baby aspirin b/c of my history of miscarrages.
