Either way I don’t think just because the VP wrote enjoy the long weekend was that inappropriate. Could have she said more yes absolutely.
Personally though I do think people of power especially the president and vp should be extra careful with what they write and it wouldnt hurt for people to look over it.
Trump proved this during his whole presidency. Now he is a perfect example of who should Have a writer!! Cause all
He seem to was post inappropriate stuff!!

Jason Aldean's wife is considered a celerity? I find it funny that her reference is the headlines is as the wife of someone; she isn't not even referenced by her own name until the 3rd time she is referenced.
But, I mean she said to enjoy the long weekend - it's not like she called the fallen suckers and losers.

Sigh, can we stick to ONLY what Harris said? As much as you want to compare to other people, SHE and Biden are in office now and we need to live in the present. We need to hold ALL people in higher positions accountable for stupid and disrespectful things they say.
Still waiting to see when she decides to go to the border too.

You can't be okay with statements like "suckers and losers' but then be offended by "Enjoy the long weekend".
I understand why some say it's tone deaf but she tweeted on Friday of Memorial Day weekend...not Memorial Day. I really don't see why it's an issue that anyone should be focusing on.
As for the border, which I don't know how that even remotely related to the tweek of "Enjoy the long weekend"; I do like the approach of doing to Central America and trying to tackle the problems in those countries collectively with them and business. I think that is a huge step in the right direction. I like that asylum can be requested from someone's home country instead of at the border (or point of entry).
I understand why her presence at the border is wanted but I don't know how her visiting the border will increase in the work to stem the influx? I think working at the source instead of the destination is more effective.

1. It was insensitive as that is not the reason for Memorial Day and never should have been said. She needs someone to see what she is going to say before she does obviously. No matter what others before or after have/will said/say.
2. Broken promise and could have been an in and out trip to show you care what is going on.

Bingo! This is just more nonsense outrage. I wished everyone a nice weekend on Friday, on Memorial Day I made mention of those service men and women we lost. This is just silliness and I certainly don't care what the wife of any celebrity has to say.

Emhoff was divorced since 2008. They were married from 1992 to 2008
