Engagement party spinoff

Many people commented how an engagement party isn't to get gifts and many times people won't give a gift or money for an engagement party.

So if you were invited to an engagement party and could not attend would you send something? ( lets say something off the registry is not an option since they are not registered)

Whenever I am invited to a party (regardless of type) and cannot attend, I always send a gift.

Depends. If I'm close to the person, yes, if not, then no.

Re: Engagement party spinoff

I am different I guess...I have been invited to parties where I barely even know the person-so I do not send a gift if I can't go...of course I would if it were family or a friend

Re: Engagement party spinoff

No, I wouldn't send anything for the EParty.

However, if there's a shower or wedding that I cannot attend, I do still send a gift.
