Emergency Animal Hospital?? UPDATED Wednesday
Anyone know where one is near Levittown? Something is wrong with Tiny....We think its his Belly

No but we took our puppy to the one on Route 110 near Adventure Land in Amityville & they were Amazing. Sorry - nothing closer. Good luck

there is one in Westbury on OCR...and there is one off the service Rd on the LIE in either Plainview or Bethpage..they were amazing!

Well, 3 hours later we are back from the vet with no answers. Tiny is staying over night to get IV, blood work and to monitored.
The vet said he vomitted a few times in the back room, so they are going to do testing to rule things out. What ever happened to him, it happened extremely fast and we took him immediately.
Hopefully, they will figure it out and he can get treatment and be back home ASAP.

Scott, I am sure they will test for it but if not, ask about leptoplasmosis. My parents live in Levittown and their dog and a neighbor's dog both had it recently. It's left from raccoons and possums and it causes kidney failure. My mom's dog was vomiting and it was caused by lepto, which also caused his kidneys to fail. Good luck and I hope you get some answers.

Well, I searched the backyard to see if I could find anything. (He is limilted to where he can go.) I found the spot where he first got sick. It seems that he ate rabblit feces and this is not the first time. There are wild rabbits all around the neighborhood. I called the vet to let them know. I am going to call later tonight to see how he is doing.

I called to find out how Tiny is doing. They said he hasn't vomitted since we left and he is resting. I really think it was the rabbit poop and think he will be home tomorrow. But I guess we will see what the blood work says.

The same thing happened to Sandy, turns out she got into some mushrooms outside. It was touch and go throughout the night at the Emergency vet but she was fine by 5pm the next day, I hope the same is true for Tiny
