EBF mom...weaning help needed
I am down to one feeding before bed, DS is 15 months, and I want to wean him off the feeding but I don't want to screw up his bedtime routine. Right now he gets a bath every other night, we get pjs on, play/read, then I nurse him while singing four songs and put him in his crib. How do I wean him without messing up our routine?

does he ask for it or do you offer? First thing we did with ds was change up his bedtime routine. We would have dinner, then bath, then calming time (reading books or doing puzzles) then dh puts ds to bed. At first I was nursing him before dh would bring him into bed but then I stopped offering. Ds asked for a week and then just stopped asking. BUT I am pregnant so it could have been a change in the milk taste that made him not want it. Good luck
ETA: Ds was around 14 months when he weaned.

Has he had whole milk yet? I would warm some milk and give it to him while singing your four songs. Do everything as you normally do. Good luck!

He does drink whole milk, but I don't want to start a new habit by giving him a bottle.
Also, he doesn't "ask for it" but he certainly gets excited about it and will tell me night night and want to nurse. I just don't know if he will miss it so much or if it is just me that I am afraid he will think I am rejecting him or something.
