DS's scalp is dry and flaky. Can you recommend shampoo/lotion for his head?

I just gave DS a bath and his scalp started being really flaky. It wasn't dry before. I just put lotion on his head and I think I made it worse. Chat Icon

Anyone else experience this? What should I do?

if it is just his head I would do an oil treatment 1/2 hour to 1 hour before his next bath. If that does not do it, then try Aquaphor.

When DD's scalp was dry we used the Arbonne baby wash and it cleared it up almost right away.

It was expensive, $14 a bottle, but we used it until it the bottle ran out.

We also used the oil treatments. DS had a very dry (almost scaly!) scalp for a long time, we put baby oil on his head about a half hour before his bath, it helped alot.

wash the hair less often, we washed DDs hair once a week or less, that also helps as a prevaentative measure.

Our ped. told us to use a pea-sized amount of Head & Shoulders. Just be really careful not to get it in DC's eyes. It's been working really well, though.
