Drive or take train into the city today

DH & I have to go into the city today and seeing all the posts about the nightmare commute is making me Chat Icon - is it better to drive in today or was that really bad too?

hmmm -hard to say. I think right now that both traffic and train are bad - but should be getting better soon.

What time are you coming in? That might make a difference.

Some people can't get into the city because alot of the roads are flooded.

I would avoid coming into the city today at all costs, if possible.

It took me over 2 1/2 hours to get to the city from Brooklyn this morning because of the weather & train problems. By the time you have to come in, it might be better. I would try to take the train since parking is so hard & expensive.

i left home at 6:30am - got to my office
by 10am - no trains were running. & i walked from Penn to 50th street Chat Icon

we can spend billions on a war, but dont have an infrastructure that can hold up in a storm.... go figure JMHO

I would recommend NOT driving. By later this afternoon the subways should be ok. Just give yourselves a little extra time.

Good call. It's definitely not the day to come in. Trains were hours long delays, some subways are down.
