does your wedding band have diamonds?
my SIL just told me that her FH said that mine and DH's wedding bands are "wrong" because we have diamonds in them. because now our rings have no "religious" meaning. W T F? anyone ever heard of this????

yup, i have diamonds in my band. we aren't religious (didn't have a church ceremony) but i'd love for someone to please tell me where it says that diamonds in wedding bands are "non-religious"

That sounds like BS. My band has diamonds & the priest still blessed it on my Wedding Day. That seems pretty religious to me.

Yes mine has diamonds, and Dhs "dressy" ring -the one we were married with- has diamonds as well.
his every day band does not though...
I believe and correct me if I am wrong, that the Jewish religion states that you should have a band without any "cracks" (for lack of a better term) in it.

Mine doesn't have diamonds but I have heard something about the Jewish faith requiring simple bands with no adornment.

I have heard (any Jewish girls, please feel free to correct me) that in the Jewish Religion, the wedding band shouldnt have any "space".
not sure if thats true or not!

my BF is jewish- she had to get married with a continous circle band- but then she switched to a diamond one after

ok good...i'm not alone! i was so offended, she just comes out of nowhere and states that our rings are "wrong"...firstly, why are you discussing our wedding bands? they are our gifts to each other! and second, mind your own F'ing business!!!
