Does anyone just not participate in Super Bowl?
Neither dh nor I care. If we get invited somewhere we may go for the food and friends but that's about it.

I will watch it at home and make some snacks that I normally wouldn't make but thats really about it. I haven't gone out for it in a long time. Its Sunday.. i like to relax and like you said, not socialize at that hour. Besides my DS would be a disaster monday morning if I let him stay up. I am joining you on the party pooper status!

DH loves football but we watch the game at home, I have ZERO interest in going anywhere on a Sunday night plus both kids are in bed by 7:30-8 anyway. I just make some Super Bowl snacks and munchies, occasionally my parents come over, but that's about it. We like to just relax on the couch and watch it, we never have big Super Bowl plans.

DH is not a football fan so he doesn't care about it. If someone was having a party we might go but if we are home the game won't even be on.

Does anyone just not participate in Super Bowl?
We don't watch it at all and could care less....i just can't see myself sitting down to watch a game for hours. I feel like i would be wasting my free time. I also don't like to drink so that may be another contributing factor.

I didn't know that either!
My friend has a party & I go, b/c it is important to her & it is a good chance to see that circle of friends. She also lives 10 minutes away & throws a good party!
I think of it more as a celebration of the end of football season!

I used to LOVE football. Mainly before kids. When I lived in Hoboken Sundays became a holiday at the bars. A reason to go drinking, yell at the TV and just have fun.
I actually used to always take off on Monday after the SB.
Since kids it's hard to get into football. Especially since our team stinks. LOL! DH wants to have friends over like he does every year. Play it by ear, but funny now with LO's most leave at half time.

I LOVE foobtall, so I always enjoy the super bowl.
I hate both teams, so don't really care who wins. I'll watch though. I find super bowl parties annoying because everyone is talking and I want to watch the game.
I think we'll probably just stay home and watch this year.
Sounds like me. lol. I just don't care this year about who wins though as I don't like either teams.

But, I have a special hatred for spending my Sunday night watching football, which I consider the dumbest of all sports. And everyone else loves it and I question what it is they do at work all day on Monday to be able to stay out drinking till after midnight.
I hope DH is going somewhere.
I have never been out that late for Superbowl so don't know that answer. It is over way before then so I have been home before 11pm many years.

Yes, it usually ends between 10 & 11. Some of the people at the party I attend are teachers or have to fly early for business trips the next day, so they have to be up early & manage.
Most people are local & usually stop drinking when desert is served, so it doesn't get out of hand.

I enjoy the social aspect, but I really don't pay much attention to the game. I would honestly like to be more into sports for DH's sake, but I just have trouble with it lol

we dont do anything, dh is not into football or any sports for that matter so i am lucky in that respect, we went to a party one year and were bored to tears learned our lesson never go again, we do tape it cause dh likes the commercials and i like to see the half time show

We don't watch football at all, and if we do watch the Superbowl it's for maybe 5-10 minutes to catch some of the commercials.

I boycott the superbowl every year. Just not interested. I grew up in a house with all females.
Superbowl Sunday was movie day! I still do it with my mom and one of my sisters. We go out for a nice lunch or dinner and then go see a movie. We go to the movies just about every weekend in January during the playoffs too.
Superbowl and football playoffs tie in very nicely with awards season! We see all of the oscar nominees.
