Does anyone have a bubble mower that..(UPDATE)

actually blows bubbles? Liam uses his and loves it but, it has NEVER blown even ONE bubble!Chat Icon
I tried the bubbles it came with and another kind also.

Is there a trick? Is this kind of how they are? Or did I get a dud and I should contact the company.

I can't return it. We threw out the package already.

eta: I have the Fisher Price one.

UPDATE: I called FP and they are sending me a new one. Hopefully this one works. She did mention that it is "little sensitive".. umm.. maybe a toddler toy shouldn't be so "sensitive"!! I mentioned that since I had purchased it I read a lot of bad reviews .... she didn't respond at all.

Whatever.. I hope it works!

UPDATED AGAIN:.... Umm.. I feel horrible. I just took it and ran it under super hot water and cleaned it all out.. I added new bubbles directly to the mower not with the bottle thing... aaaaannnnddd... It's working. great.... I feel like a jerk.

We are evil parents. We won't show DS that it blows bubbles lol. He just pushes it around the house like he's vacuuming and says vroom vroom.

Ours workd, but you have to push it for at least 30 seconds before the bubbles start. Kind of annoying.

Re: Does anyone have a bubble mower that..

This is my DS's absolute favorite thing.

First, to load the bubbles, you have to push down on the bubbles and hold it for a few seconds, so they "load". We didn't do that in the beginning and it didn't work, so I pulled out the directions and got it to work.

Ours works with the FP Bubbles, or the generic store bought bubbles. I tried homemade bubbles and those were a dud.

If it still doesn't work, I would call FP and complain.

ETA - it also works EXCELLENT in the driveway- on the pavement. It doesn't work so well on the grass.

Ous works too...like D said, you have to press the bottle down for a bit. If our grass is long, it will not work. It works great on the sidewalk.

Re: Does anyone have a bubble mower that..

I bought one last summer and the thing never work. The bubble liquid would just end up leaking out the bottom.

Yeah, I did that. And I tried it on pavement.. nothing. We pushed it at all different speeds.. DS pushed it. Once or twice it almost made a bubble.. but, nope...nothing. Chat Icon

Re: Does anyone have a bubble mower that..(UPDATE)

I almost bought one until I saw the reviews on Amazon! Everyone said the same thing!!! Can you complain and get a new one? If it advertises it should blow bubbles and that is the main purpose, then I would expect it to work! Chat Icon
