Did I ever tell you that I hate people?

Does anyone else hate when someone else bags their groceries?
I purposely put things that go together on the conveyer belt together so they stay together...
But, it never ends up that way...
My frozen items are packed with my dishwasher detergent
My refrigerated items are with canned goods
and my produce is with boxed stuff
and WAIT!! Please don't put that loaf of bread in with that bottle of soda!!!!
One of the reasons I don't like going to Stop and Shop 
And yes, I am pmsing

The only thing that annoys me is when they use too many bags.

Yes!!! Let's put 2 things in each bag so I can reorganize everything outside my car in the parking lot, or make 12 trips into the house

I ALWAYS pack my own... I even have my own canvas bags I use. I just tell the person bagging I need to do it myself. They get a little offended, but it makes me happy to have it done the way I want!

yeah, what's up with that. They put 2 small things in a bag 
I don't like it, becuase they frequently will put super delicate things (like fresh figs) with cans  by the time I come home, the figs can be thrown out

I have, literally, stopped people when they were bagging my groceries. I've held up lines and rebagged whole orders because it was so poorly done. I HATE, HATE, HATE when someone else bags my groceries. I may have grey hair, but, I am perfectly capable of carrying more than two items in one bag. And, don't even get me started on where they put the bread. Drives me insane.

I find it annoying to do it myself, but I also like things packed together. Like you said, don't put the bread with the big heavy stuff! I usually end up just doing the self-check out at Stop N Shop.

I even go to the self checkout isle, even if I have a lot of stuff, to "control" what goes where. Takes longer, but I like neater bags, I also like to use paper bags so I can recycle them, etc.

I agree that is why I like self checkout. I bag myself and the way I like w/o a billion bags and double bagging 1 loaf of bread

OMG, I thought it was just me. First I use recycled bags, 2nd I pack them according to cabinet placement. and 3rd I think they just stick it all together to hurry up and get it done.

Me - I can't stand it. I now have the Stop & Shop recycable bags and I always go through the "Do It Yourself" check outs.

I agree, I like putting all frozens together, all regigerated foods together, canned together,
It prefer to just do it myself
I like to leave eggs and bread for last so i can put that on top and make sure i put it in the front seat so they dont get destroyed

When I worked at pathmark... we had people who would get on bag your own and then want us to bag it and the people who went on regular and wanted to bag it themselves drove me crazy

I hear ya!
I'm usually okay with it, but when a young kid puts the raw meat together in a bag with the raw vegetables, it is incredibly upsetting to me. My DH has actually gone back to tell a kid what he had done isn't good...What if I'm using the veggies for a salad!?!?

Not me. As far as I'm concerned the person behind the counter works for the supermarket and it is their job - not mine - to bag groceries. It's bad enough that as time has gone on containers have gotten smaller and prices have gotten bigger. If any of the supermarkets want to pay me, I will bag my own groceries, but until then, the person who is getting paid to do it can do it.

me too. In fact I just came from Target and had to rebag everything before I got in the car. And on the way home I was thinking about how you cant bag for yourself there even if you wanted to
