Same here. I actually just got kicked out of one for no showing up to a "mandatory" meetup  I'm too busy and alot of them host from their own homes which I find strange.

 I just got kicked out of one too the other day, for not attending any meetups lately and not frequenting their message boards. How can I when I'm always on here!!! Whatever..

yes I belong to one out here, but I don't make it to alot of events since I work full time.
I used to go more while I was on maternity leave.

I know a few girls who head them up, but I never thought it made sense to pay to make friends, there are so many ways to meet people
and I belong to a few other local private boards (same concept, just different websites)
I remember a while back, I got an email from a meetup, and it was a SAHM meetup that was being headed up by a man, I thought it was extremely odd  
Ive met many great moms online, so I think any way to network and chat is great !
