I'm 25% Italian, 50% German and 25% Irish/English...
I think I look mostly German...
I've been told I look Jewish though (by my friend's grandmother).
All week I got, "Are you sure you're not Jewish?"

I'm 100% Italian but people never think I am. Maybe because I'm pretty fair and my hair is light brown. I get all kinds of things but mostly Spanish. Just today some guy got mad at me because he didn't believe me when I said I don't speak Spanish.

I'm mostly of Italian descent (Dad 100%, Mom is 75% Italian and 25% French and Welsh)
Most people think I look Italian but I have gotten some people thinking I was English or French too.

I'm Italian/Polish and everyone assumes I'm Italian. Sometimes I get someone who says there's something European about me. 
Wow, seeing your pics steph, I would totally say polish. I guess its the polish in me that sees the polish in you!!

I'm a mutt too (German, Italian, Irish, and Russian) and assume most people are the same unless they have an accent.
I get mostly Irish or Jewish (which I'm not going to get into the ethnicity question). They're right in that I'm a little of both but was raised Catholic.

I am Jewish but my ethnicity is Polish. I am told all the time that I look Italian (I have green eyes and brown hair)

I was raised with knowing Judaism as a religion AND a culture. I am second generation in this country with grandparents from Eastern Europe and Russia. When they came to this country, they did not identify with a nationality from any particular country, rather their religion as many people of their generation did. They tried to assimilate as best they could.
I suppose this is why people refer to "being Jewish" as an ethnicity (and unfortunately [as well as mistakenly] as a "nationality" which it is not). We dont partake in Russian, Polish and Romanian customs. We participate in JEWISH traditions which are not always based in prayer but rather social gatherings with family. Our foods are common amongst ALL of the countries where our ancestors came from so to say they are Russian or Polish or Romanian wouldnt be accurate.
When you walk into my home or into my mother's home, you know you are in a Jewish home because of various forms of Judaica (Jewish art) as opposed to displays of national pride or identification from Europe.
As far as my looks go, I am fair complected with light hair (which has been red). I also have freckles, green eyes and a small nose. People often assume (only by looks) that I am Irish or German. They laugh when I tell them I am Jewish and often say I don't look Israeli. Im thinking people REALLY need to read history books. Since when do all Jews come from Israel?

My pleasure JAX. By the way, I am doing the newlywed CHOP next week as I buzz my hair and go red again. Once I tan and the freckles come out, I look VERY Irish. So it really messes with people when I hurl Yiddish insults at them and then ramble in Spanish. I speak spanish - I have no Spanish Heritage!

I am Italian, Polish, English, Irish, & German.
All the time I am told I look Greek. I also get Indian (from India, not Native AMerican), Spanish and once someone asked me if I was Egyptian!

I guess I was a little cranky when I posted yesterday because I too completely identify with what you wrote.
I am a complete Mutt on my mom's side but and 2nd generation american on my dad's side. My dad's father was right off the boat from Poland. I really can't identify with many POlish people as I am not too familir with namy of the customs of the country.

I am a mix of things, my moms mother is 100% Lithuanian, her dad 1/2 irish and the rest a mix of french canadian and other things that I dont know, my father is 100% Italian.
I have fair skin but really dark hair naturally and brown eyes, but my hair is dyed blond so I get people talking to me in polish or russian all the time! Some get mad when I dont speak it, they think that I am lying

With my red hair, freckles and green eyes there is no mistaking the Irish in me. I have, however, been told a few times that I look Jewish. I find that interesting.

I am Scottish-Italian with a bit of Hungarian but I get Brazilian
This is DH's ethnicity exactly! He doesn't get brazilian though, mostly Scottish.
As for me both my parents are Latino... I get Italian all the time, especially when I use my maiden name, and every once in awhile I'll have someone confuse me for Pakistani or Indian.
