do you prefer a sectional or a sofa and loveseat?
We have had a sectional.for 8 years, I love it. But my dh wants seperate pieces. Which do you prefer?

Depends what room it's for. Den, I say sectional. Living room I like separate pieces.

We used to have a sectional in our living room a few years back and when we moved into our home, we got separate pieces and love it.

We have a sectional in our media room and then a couch and chair & a half (oversized chair) with ottoman in our family room.

ITA. A more "formal" room looks better with separate pieces. For a casual room, I like the coziness of a sectional.

I love my sectional. I love to cuddle up in the corner with pillows and my blanket. It's my favorite spot to watch tv.
ETA - It's in our den. In our formal living room we have a couch, love seat, and club chair.

We have a sofa and love seat because it worked with our furniture, but I think sectionals are cozier. I like sectionals better,

I prefer a sofa and love seat or two sofas if you have the room. My problem with sectionals are that you kind of "lose" seating in the corner pieces and I feel like they never seat as many people as you think. When I was getting furniture I went and counted actual seats of each piece of furniture and I felt like I got the most "seating" out of two separate full size couches (6 seats) versus a sectional (5 seats at most on the ones I was looking at).
I think I may want a modular sectional for my family room next though so at least I would have options for rearranging back into a separate couch and loveseat if I wanted to. HTH.

We both prefer a sectional but i want a chaise longue in our living room/den area (we will only have one) and he doesn't.

We live in an apartment right now and have a sofa, love seat and a recliner. I love it and it's perfect for our space now, but when we move into a house I'd like to get a sectional.

we have had a sectional for 9 years. We just replaced our old one. we started looking for peices but found we prefered the sectional better. It fits our room better and we are able to get more seating this way!
