My first cousin is Steve Buscemi. We are not very close, really only see him at family funerals now a days (unfortunately) 
I waited outside of NBC studios a couple of weeks ago and waited for Ben Folds to come out! And got my picture taken with him  In my mind we went out to get drinks and are best buds....Does that count? 
It counts if my DEJR encounter can count as shameless sex!

i went to camp with natalie portman.
Well, Natalie Portman-ica celebrates Hanukah (at this time of year, quoting Adam Sandler is so important).
I went to HS with Mariah Carey. 2 other people from my HS became actors and have been on some TV shows. Well, actually one of them transferred out to go to HS of Performing Arts.
When I was in law school in Pittsburgh, people thought that because I went to HS with Mariah Carey, my neighborhood was just riddled with famous people.
I've met a few famous people but the one that was the most fun was Dr. Ruth. She was a riot!
ETA: DH grew up next door to John Myung from Dream Theater and the families are still close. I didn't think it was a big deal until I was at John's brother's wedding and the guys from the wedding band were so amazed to be meeting John.

Taye Diggs YUMMY!!! Also my DH and I LOVE Tom!1 I tried to convince my DH to write into Queer eye just to meet him and then do our house!

don't KNOW anyone famous but when I was little, like third grade, I took acting classes and Jaime Lynn Siegler was in my class.... We did Annie and of course I was part of the chorus and she was Annie. I have a picture my mom snapped of me and shes in the front of it.

My best friend dated Jason Mraz for a few years.
She's also really good friends with Chris Owen (Sherminator from american pie). I hung out with him a few times when I went out to CA to visit her... he's really down to earth and it's crazy how many people recognize him when he goes out!

A friend who used to work with me was a HUGE fan of Dream Theatre. I had never heard of them.
Someone who knew someone who knew them got him backstage passes. He was like a little kid, it was so cute. This is the first time I've ever heard anyone else mention them though!

Yes, Natalie Portman's Dad has... ahem... "examined me" and said at the time "You have a lovely lining in your uterus" He didn't actually get me pregnant... that was another doctor but he certainly helped with the process...LOL.
He is a very sweet man and has a great bedside manner.
She has his eyes, exactly.

Went to school with/grew up with Lucy Liu but haven't spoken to her since college (my nieces were under the impression I'd be inviting her to my wedding and that she'd come! ).
Went to HS with Guiliana Santini (she played Francesca on Homefront and was later on JAG) and she ended up marrying my first real crush!

OMG!! I used to hang out with Danger Danger back in the day. I was one of their first fans! I met them the night they got signed. (Me & my friends were waiting for Duran Duran outside a hotel & they came into the hotel) I used to hang out with them at a metal club on LI. I was there one night & they played NAught Naughty & I couldn't believe it (there album JUST came out that week) Steve West ran up to me & asked me how I knew the song. Then I told him how I met the band the day they got their record deal. He was like "you & the girls from Philly. I said yep!" He said "I'm Steve West the drummer." He grabbed my hand & introduced me to the rest of the band & said "This is Tracy our # 1 fan!!" Good Times Good Times!
