Do you ever go through thos periods where you feel so bad for people?

I got through that every once in a while...
like this delivery man came in with flowers for my coworker...and he tripped and fell... i feel so bad i could cry! he didnt get hurt but i feel bad


or ill see an old person and just feel bad for them..


or even a cartoon ! like the EMPIRE CARPET guy! I dont know why, but i feel bad for him!

Am i weird?

No, you are not weird at all. I go through the same thing all the time. I am always feeling bad for people and at times I find myself helping someone if they are in need.

I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU JUST SAID THIS. I always feel bad for people, like old people who work at Stop and Shop, or when I see a handicapped person, or an old person working at Target.

But I cannot believe you feel bad for the empire carpet guy, because I TOLD DH I FEEL BAD FOR HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG - I feel SO bad for the EMPIRE CARPET GUY!!!
I thought I was the only nut out there!
He is so cute.
I just feel like- what if nobody wants to buy carpet from him?

I get like that a lot to, I always feel bad for the old people who are alone, or walking alone in the streets, I feel like walking up to them and helping them, or giving them a hug--lol

I feel badly for people all the time. No, not so much as "feel badly" for them, b/c I don't pity them, I just wish them better than their current circumstance...

there is this old guy that shops around my office...dirty clothes, smells like pee...I mean, nasty stuff. most people make mean comments (I mean, it isn't "comfy" standing behind him on a line) but I just feel SOO BADLY for him...that he has (or at least I think he has) no family or friend to take care of him. it breaks my heart.

No not at all.

I want to cry every time I see an old man in the supermarket shopping for himself. For some reason it just breaks my heart. Like I envision him being happily married at one time, and his wife doing all the shopping, and now she's gone and he's alone and I feel so sad for him.

And there's one show on cable that DH watches, and they always make fun of the poor kid with no money and worn, smelly clothes. I can't watch the show b/c the other kids are so mean to him. I mean, it's a TV show!!! Why do I let it bother me??

this happens to me all the time-- I see someone and something about them makes me want to hug them! And I am so not the kind of person who just wants to randomly hug people..

There's an older gentlemen on my train that I absolutely love. Never spoken to him, but I know I love him.
When I talk about him to DH I get welled up and he's like, are you serious? You don't even know him.
But I do, I know he's the cute little old guy on my train.

I feel bad for people all the time....unless they Pi$$ me off..then that is totally different!

aww. i'm the same way. i always feel bad for people with "thankless" jobs....like housekeepers and janitors and the people the clean the bathrooms at work. it's not that i feel sorry for them, I just want everyone to experience the best in life. I sometimes feel guilty for being so fortunate.

I feel sad for the elderly people I see shopping alone, or when DH and I go to dinner, and someone is sitting by themself, I always feel like I should ask if they would like to join us

I thought I was the only one who was so sensitive!!! Old people - esp old men by themselves almost bring me to tears. They're probably so lonely and I would love to just hug someone or just say Hi sometimes.
It also makes me sad when I see people being treated badly or working like slaves because they are immigrants.

I esp sensitive right now because DH's grandma died last week and I just came back from Florida last night. They really didn't have a good relationship with Grandpa, but he was so appreciative that we came and I feel so bad for him. I can't imagine losing my life partner after 58 years of marriage
