Do people send thank yous for kids bday gifts?
We have been to quite a few parties where we received no thank you card. Is this the norm or unusual? Maybe I know a lot of people with poor etiquette? LOL
I'm just really curious what everyone's experience is with this, it seems odd to me bc I never thought to not send them.

Yes I do all the time. Even if I dont really write much in the card but Thank you. I feel it shows that you are Thankful for whatever was given, and it shows youre child manners.

I always send thank you's... for her bday, or for any gift for that matter and I have received cards from all my friends as well.

Same for me. I even sent people thank you cards when they just came to visit me at the hospital ( I know a little over the top) but I really did appreciate it that they thought of us and wanted to wish us well.

I try my best to send thank-yous. But, sometimes it takes so long that I'm embarrassed to send them.

I did this too. I sent cards to the some special visitors.
I was raised to send thank you's for gifts.

We rarely do not get a thank you. Maybe we hang out with the Miss Manners group.
I also send thank you for every gift my kids receive. They are usually kind of late, but they do get sent.

DD will be sending thank you cards until she moves out of the house. I think it is very important. I never did as a child but always do now.

In my family you always send thank you notes. As soon as I could write them myself I was doing them.
In fact, I had my baby shower at 37.5 weeks (less than a month ago) and I couldn't write b/c my hands were too swollen then I had DS, I am just finishing them now and my mom is giving me grief about them
