Do I need entertainment at 1st bday party?
I'll probably have about 20 kids at DDs bday party, ranging from infant to 3 years old. Do I need to have entertainment? We're just having it at the house and trying to keep it low key. Is it enough to put out toys, have crafts, or will it make my life easier to have entertainment?
I have low key friends, but I'm just curious.

I was wondering the same! DS's party is this weekend. I have a big pool and a kiddy pool and toys in the yard. I'm afraid the big kids may get bored. What crafts do you have?

I don't have any crafts yet!
I'll probably get coloring books and look on orientaltrading.com for some ideas to match her theme.
I can't believe I'm driving myself crazy already!

No entertainment needed - have a few toys and things for them to play with and you will be ok. I would also suggest if you have a few infants have some blankets handy to throw on the lawn so they can sit down and play.

I am getting entertainment, but I'm doing mine in a rented room in October...so different situation. I think if you have crafts and its in a house you should be more than fine.

I had DS's 1st and 2nd birthday parties at our house. We didn't have entertainment for either party. Had coloring books, chalk for the driveway, balloons, general toys.... and it was fine.
