We have to go to down to see FH's grandpaents in the next few weeks in Ft. lauderdale. They're both terminally ill. Last time we visited we drove to Disney. I'm trying to figure out if going to Disney for a few days would be a good thing, to help release the stress of seeing his grandparents that way, or if it would be totally inappropriate.

imo, if you "tack" on a trip to wdw, it just seems selfish. you know? like you are not really there to see the grandparents.

On the other hand, and this is why we did it last time, we might as well because we're already making the long trip down there, spending $$ on the flight, etc...
Unless we just don't tell them 
But seriously, I know my FH is going to be a complete wreck
