Did you have a smash cake for DC's 1st b-day?
Or did you just give him/her a piece?
We are getting a cupcake cake and cupcakes made by someone. Should I just give her a cupcake, or should I make her her own little cake? I kinda forgot about this detail!

I gave Jack a cupcake to smash on his actual b-day and then a piece of the large cake at his party. He would never have known the difference.

We gave her a piece of the cake that was made for her. She wanted nothing to do with it. It kind of grossed her out, which was pretty funny.

We did a smash cake - it's a great photo op - stop and shop sells a small cake for 4.99.

I am going to give Luke his own little smash cake for on his actual birthday. And I will make a cake for DH and I since it is a Monday. At his party I will just give him a piece of the regular cake.

yes, for my first 2, waldbaums was giving them for free for 1st bdays, its worth maknig a phone call.
for my 3rd, I totally forgot 
or did i do it ? I dont remember.

My MIL made both my girls a small smash cake. Both my girls barly touched the cake but I would still make them there own cake.

My cousins hubby is a baker - we had them make a sheet cake for the party and a small round smash cake for DD that matched the big one.

I have that large cupcake cake from Linens and Things. I made that for Clover and had a cupcake tower for all of the other guests.
