How do i go about doing this? Do i just call? do i have to go to a dr first? how much is it?

we have life insurance for DH, dragging our feet with mine...
call around for quotes - prices will range depending on your age, health, coverage amount, and term of policy.

I just got a small policy for me, $150k it's $48 a quarter ($192 a year).
DH has through work.

We are in the process of doing this now. We both have it through work but mine will end soon since I only work PT now and DH's policy is not enough so we are buying bigger policies on each of us.
I nagged DH about this starting months before our daughter was born and we are just now getting it taken care of.

I life insurance when I was single and purchased my condo. Scott and I always had 2x our salary at work as well. When we got married Scott got a policy. We are now looking into some more since we will have another baby soon.

My dad had been pushing us to get it but didn't see much of a point when it was just the two of us, so we said we'd get it when I got pregnant. Two months later I got a BFP.  My dad has a gift of always getting his way.

Both of us have had life insurance prior to getting pregnant. We both have group policies and individual policies. There are so many variables when deciding to buy life insurance. It depends on what type you get (whole life, term) and how much you choose to be insured for.

We had life insurance for DH prior to getting pregnant, we are now in the process of getting it for me as well. And adding the babies on as well.
