Typical response from some LIW posters, in a nutshell...”if it has not happened to me, it must me some made up story.”

Oh, do you mean like how some posters still think Covid is not that serious because they did not lose family members???? Like that, cause it didn't happen to them? It goes both ways.

I just don't believe anything that comes out of some posters mouths, such as OP, and you for that matter. So you are correct, when some people post, I will automatically dismiss it, because of all the nonsensical things they have posted in the past. But , just my opinion.Chat Icon

Huh?? What are u even talking about? I have not lost any family member or even any friend due to covid and I still think covid is serious. Does that mean fear dictates my actions? No, but that does not mean I don’t think it’s serious or not real, I treat it just like any other virus.

Of course, haven't you noticed how every surgeon is toothless????????????????????????????????????????
Edited b/c apparently I used too many question marks.

Surgeons didn't pick up the bad habits. From the article, it's not the masks that are technically causing the problems, it's the bad habits that people are starting because of the masks. Breathing through the mouth a lot more, and not drinking enough water. As long as you breathe through your nose, and drink plenty of fluids, the masks shouldn't cause any problems, based on the article.

I know, I'm being sarcastic. I never heard such a ridiculous question asked. FTR, I have never met a toothless surgeon.

I have not seen one person in the past year write on here that Covid is NOT serious. Maybe in the very beginning when people thought it would last only two weeks, but can you fault them? Not even the government was taking it serious. Stop making sweeping generalizations that are incorrect to fit your pathetic narrative of being a tyrant.

People have expressed their sympathies to you and you are not the only one who lost people during the pandemic or life has turned upside down, to be running around, treating people like crap and sitting on your high horse. I’ve lost many people at a young age and many people don’t give two sh!ts about the circumstances around how they died because it didn’t impact them personally. But that doesn’t give me a license to run around acting like a jerk to them because they don’t understand. And if anything all you hear about is Covid all day for the past year and a half and the deaths around it.

Maybe you should take the advice that was given to me an seek therapy.

Eta:I personally knew the cop that died in queens, i knew someone who we prayed for for months because she was in the hospitals and rehab.

I agreed with the article, and the science behind the article... how is that condescending. The article said
"The mask also creates issues in which people will breathe through their mouths to improve inhalation capacity. Doing so heightens dry mouth and which in turn leads to various dental conditions. It is recommended that you continue breathing through your nose, continue drinking water and maintain oral hygiene to decrease dry mouth and the dental problems that can develop."

I agreed with that. Show me where I didn't. My first post questioned it, but as soon as an article was posted, with the science behind it, I agreed. It didn't affect *me*, because I breathe through my nose most of the time, and I stay hydrated, like the article recommends. I never said it couldn't, I just asked "how". When it was posted "how", my opinion changed.

The science of the article says that it's the bad habits caused by the masks that is causing the dry mouth, which is what causes the dental problems.

Well u’re putting the blame on the person for picking up “bad habits” and not on the mask. The article says “the MASK also CREATES issues in which people will breathe through their mouths to IMPROVE INHALATION CAPACITY”. Obviously a person that breathes through the mouth while wearing a mask is doing so because of limited air availability, that’s a need not a bad habit. If it wasn’t because of a mask, that person wouldn’t breathe through the mouth.

It's not condescending. You didn't say anything wrong.

This poster has a thing against you, seaside, and probably a few others. She gets explosively triggered from many of those peoples' posts and will have an outsized reaction with no apparent pre escalation. She'll hurl insults that no one calls her out for, but that's ok. People know what's what.

You don't speak for "everyone" - so please don't try to. You don't want anyone to put words in your mouth - try not doing it either. I never find GoldenRod to be condescending. If you do, that's your own defense mechanism kicking in. Go ahead - start your anonymous poll and let's see where things fall.

Yes, ok. You're the resident truth teller. Thank goodness for you on here , Sash. Chat Icon So I guess the MULTIPLE people on here who have said on other posts that you consistently fly off the handle are all just liars and making it up, right? Ok, cool. Gotcha.

For the record, don't flatter yourself. I don't commit to memory a single word you or anyone else says. I'm just calling it like I see it, the use of "rapid puppy" is mere coincidence.

Maybe you need to stop taking a stupid forum with a bunch of strangers so seriously. Relax. You act like some of these people on here are your best friends forever IRL. Why do you give a crap what I think of VB or anyone else??? Move on and enjoy your day. This back and forth is a waste of energy.

You three are fukn stupid. Science and research only count when it comes from you. Get a grip already. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Eta: you guys are so freaking rude and condescending it’s unbelievable. And yes I’m rude and snarky but only to people like you. You guys are nasty to anyone who disrupts or disagrees with what you believe is happening in your little lives you’re living.

No I legit think they are fukn stupid, I’m not triggered. I’m just saying what everyone is too timid to say. Everyone on this board knows this place is like HS with the popularity, so many stay quiet.

Don’t put words in my mouth.
The posters write things that are down right ridiculous and stupid. They think they are always right and can’t see the other side if it smacked them upside their heads. Not triggered just putting some honesty on this site.

I bet if you put an anonymous poll, many would say they are in fact condescending. And I was talking about their posts in general not his one posts on this thread. Chat Icon

You don't speak for "everyone" - so please don't try to. You don't want anyone to put words in your mouth - try not doing it either. I never find GoldenRod to be condescending. If you do, that's your own defense mechanism kicking in. Go ahead - start your anonymous poll and let's see where things fall.

I didn’t say everyone, I clearly said many. So there you go putting words in my mouth. And clearly you aren’t part of the many, so good for you if you like him and his posts. That proves nothing. I also said I bet, I didn’t say it was concrete facts. But I’d do know for fact that I am not alone in my feelings. This isn’t a defense mechanism.

Eta: I did say everyone, so you are right. I stand corrected, i should have said “Many”. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Sash I agree with you. The usual suspects come off very condescending in lots of their posts.

Obviously I don’t. LOL. I reread it when it was quoted again and literally said “Oh shit I did say Everyone”. Went back to correct but too late.
