I've been following your story since we were both on the TTC board in 2009...you are truly a strong and admirable person I wish and pray this is it for you...I hope your strength will help a lot of girls who are dealing with infertility...many many well wishes!

Wow. Not sure how I missed this, but glad I found it.
I'm not sure if you know or not but I was a gestational carrier for my SIL (my husband's sister).
Our niece/Goddaughter is almost 16 mos old.
Please, I'd you have ANY questions for her or myself, please feel free to ask.
I live in NY and it was (and currently still is) and on going challenge with the courts. My SIL is currently waiting for the amended birth certificate.

Very excited for you as you start this part of your journey...I guess because I feel that this will bring you the family you want and deserve and hopefully take some of the stress off of you.
Yeah, its not that its "illegal" in NYS but there are no laws to protect you in NYS, not to mention the difficult part of the birth certificate and adoption. My friend did GS in NJ and her name is on the birth certificate and there was no "adoption" paperwork necessary etc... because it was all done upfront. I wonder why NYS makes it so difficult???
I might be picking your brain on this stuff so write everything down.
