DD climbed and fell out of her crib this morning!
She had never attempted it before. She's 21 months.
What is the next step?
Should I switch to the toddler bed?
I don't want her to get hurt.
Any advice.
TIA

I am so sorry this happened to Laila! Definitely convert her crib to a toddler bed.

If you aren't sure about the toddler bed I used the crib tent. It was the best purchase ever!!!

DD#1 climbed out of her crib around 16-18 months and we put her in a toddler bed and put a baby gate on her door to prevent any escaping.

I think that's what we are going to do.

Re: DD climbed and fell out of her crib this morning!
I went through this in the spring (DS will be 2 on Sunday) and I was sure he wasnt ready for a toddler bed. Sure enough, the one time he fell out, it taught him a lesson. He never fell out again. He would climb up the railing, look over the side and get back in bed. Then that fasination stoppped too. I know its scary but this was just my experience.

Re: DD climbed and fell out of her crib this morning!
my son is starting to climb up and it is a matter of time before he gets over. I'm scared to go to a toddler bed because then I know he will escape. But leaving him in the crib I'm risking him getting hurt.
I'm not ready for this.
Sorry I'm no help!

Re: DD climbed and fell out of her crib this morning!
DD is the same age (or close - will be 21 months Friday). She started climbing out of her crib a few weeks ago. She doesn't fall climbing out - only when she tries to get back in!!
She did it every night for a week, then stopped, and last night she climbed out again. I let her sleep on the floor.
