I am so sorry that happened to you. My heart sank reading the list of what they got away with.
I hope the police are able to recover at least some if not all of what they took.

That sucks and I really feel bad for you. I am sorry but why would you leave all of that valuable stuff in your car?? I dont not leave anything in my car, even if it is locked.

Oh man...that sucks!
I agree with Ophelia...check garbage pails and dumpsters in the area. Hopefully they just wanted the cash and dumped everything else.

I do agree with Jess. My purse was stolen in HS and all the content were strewn about because they flew out as the person flung it onto the roof of the school. They were just after the cash...it was no LV.
But if the perps were in a car, idk it's worth a look though

Did you call and speak to the director? They may have the parking lots under surveillance and may have tapes of the time period. I hope you recover some of the stuff that is gone.

oh my god thats terrible! all your work! I hope you get something recovered. and in the day in and day out of things we trust that places we feel safe will continue to be that way.
a few weeks ago we got a letter from our daycare NOT TO LEAVE YOUR CAR RUNNING while running in to get your kids b/c a father dropping his kid off had his car stolen. RIGHT OUT OF THE LOT EARLY IN THE MORNING. and our daycare is on sort of a busy road, there's a nursing home across the road. Cant imagine who would be lurking around, but someone was and stole a car.
When i get DS from work, my work bag is on the seat with my wallet in it. I always lock the door b/c thats the NY'er in me. Im paranoid about that. and i always felt weird about it when moving to PA b/c so many people keep **** unlocked. And we made that mistake with our own car in our driveway. Our GPS was stolen right out of it. and it was a day we were unloading a lot of stuff out of the car and just forgot to go back and lockup.

I dont understand the massive sarcasm? I mean, lets call a spade a spade, this is your fault. Yeah whoever stole it is a douche, but no one is to blame but you. You said you never do this, so why pick a day when you have your life in your bag, why leave it in the car? Getting mad at others, or the one person who didnt say "omg, im so sorry, its totally not your fault" just seems silly to me, especially when this could have been avoided. Jmho.

If you have renter's insurance, you may be able to get some $$ back. I know it's not going to replace what was truly the most valuable to you.
