im in glen oaks (down the block from LIJ) no issues so far, heavy rain...cant wait til this is over..
Fellow Glen Oaks resident here too! Just rain and heavy winds for now! The lights flickered a few times, but no outage! Now just listening to Tornado warnings on the TV!

East meadow: winds are pretty bad on and off. I can hear the wind against the house sometimes. Rain pounding. Still have power. Newborn slept 7 hours tonight for the first time!! thank goodness if he was up earlier I wouldn't have been able to sleep and woukd have been a zombie right now. DS1 is at my parents in same town. Waiting to hear from my sister re their status.

Still have power in Ronkonkoma. Winds are heavy and so is the rain. It's beating the crap out of my bathroom window. Just saw my neighbors wind chime soar past.

Massapequa park - torrential rain and heavy winds that woke ms up.... We have power but no phone cable or Internet.... Called my house in bellmore and it seems like we lost cable there too ... Praying everyone stays safe!

Checking in from Ronkonkoma. So far we still have power. Raining, wind is blowing but not crazy hard. Just came in from being outside. Yes I know crazy but we forgot to take out the trash ( we live in a complex with dumpsters) and since the house was hot..so was the trash.
It wasn't to bad outside. Not heavy rain. I didn't get soaked.

we are in Levittown. We lost power for a minute at like 2 but otherwise its been ok. Windy and rainy but managable so far!
ETA: As I posted this, the wind really started to pick up!

In Lindenhurst....Still have power...
Some big gusts now, but the sustained winds are not too bad IMO...Heavy HEAVY sideways rain right now..
Streets look ok as far as I can see...

All the way south in Lindenhurst here, just off Montauk Hwy. Really really strong winds, not as much rain as I thought it would be but still very wet. I am honestly surprised that we still have power! It has flickered several times in the past hour though, so we will see.
