Car seat location question- in the middle or the side
Ive noticed a lot of car seats in the middle of the car and was wondering if anyone is planning on putting theirs in the middle too or will just put it to the side directly behind the front seats?

you have to check your owner's manual (for the car) to determine the safest spot for the carseat. it totally depends on the car.

Ours is in the middle, that's where the latch system is. Definitely check your owner's manual.

I just checked my owners manual and it says the car is equipped with the Latch system on both sides and in the center.

I have the same question-my car has latch on the sides-but says you can put it in the center with the belt, I just don't know what is safer....
Since you have latch in all 3 spots I would say the center.

Yes....if you have the latch in all 3 spots your supposed to put the baby in the center due to side impact crashes. It may not be the easiest for you since they are in the middle but in most cars thats the safest spot for them. Once the baby gets a little bigger and its harder to lift them into the center they move over to the side.

My manual says the same thing but, it does note that the sides are safer than the middle (in my specific vehicle).
