Dh salary covers everything! We decided to just wait a little longer and save a bigger down payment so we could lower the payment and interest rate. When I go back to work it will be extra income, money in the bank. It's a nice feeling. If dh ever loses his job the mortgage wouldn't be so bad to cover ifi went back to work.
Also, we were able to find an area that we loved with good schools and decent taxes. Holbrook. We only pay 6400 a year for our taxes 3 bed 3 bath home with almost a half acre of property.

Yes, but my salary helps pay for the little "extras" that we enjoy. If we didnt have my salary, we wouldn't be in trouble but we would def have to live very close to a tight budget.

Yes, but our credit cards bills made it impossible to live on 1 salary. Thankfully that has changed 
I think this is an important point. There is more to home ownership than mortgage + taxes.
Yes, we can pay the mortgage + taxes on his salary or mine.
But if one of us lost our jobs, we still have to cover all the other monthly bills....lipa, oil, car payments, car insurance.
It costs an additional $1k a month to cover expenses in my house.
So, we need both salaries to LIVE.

not on my salary, but we could do it on DH's salary (although it would take up most of it). My salary pays for all the other bills.

i'll actually update my answer, bc i've been thinking about it-mortgage/taxes/homeowners alone we could do on either salary
but that wouldn't cover any other bills

we absolutly need 2 incomes. Actually, i need to find a better paying job in the near future so i can get a bigger house. We bought our house 6 years ago when houses were $$$$, we can get a 4 or 5 bdrm house in decent shape for what we paid back then.
One day....maybe one day....we wont live paycheck to paycheck.
