Buying a car on the weekend-- insurance question
How does it work if you buy a car on a Saturday or Sunday-- how do you get insurance for it if your insurance company is closed on the weekends? 
We're buying a car today and our insurance agency is closed until Monday. Waiting for a call back from the car dealership, but how do we drive it until we call on Monday?

we bought a car on Saturday, and picked it up on Monday.

You buy it today but probably won't drive it off today. In the past, I have contact the agent and they contacted the dealership and faxed a card over.

The dealership will need your insurance binder before you can drive it off the lot. They can usually fax over to the dealership in a matter of minutes if you already have an account with the insurance co.

Thanks guys. Apparently they're going to give us dealer plates today, we'll drive it off the lot, and will take them back on Monday after we call the insurance company.
Sound normal?

most insurance companies have 24 hr service. I know mine does!
